Schrader Named Principal of West Elementary School

Sycamore Community School District 427 is excited to announce Mr. Ryan Schrader has been named principal of West Elementary School.

Mr. Schrader has served as Dean of Students at Sycamore Middle School since 2015. Before his administration position, Mr. Schrader taught Career and Life Skills at Sycamore Middle School. Prior to joining the Sycamore School District, Mr. Schrader was an elementary Physical Education teacher and assistant football coach in the Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 for seven years. 

Mr. Schrader graduated from Aurora University in Elementary Education and earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University in 2011. 

“Mr. Schrader’s energy and ability to build relationships is a great fit for the students, families, and staff at West Elementary School,” said Superintendent of Schools, Mrs. Kathy Countryman. 

Mr. Schrader plans to offer opportunities for students and families to meet him over the summer. Please look for additional information from the District in the coming weeks.
