Committee Reports/Old Business

Book Fair
There was $1667.52 spent on teacher books from the book fair. There is $1700 budget for the teachers at the buy one get one free sale in the spring. It’s a process to match up books for the teachers when they pick them out. The books are matched up by price. There is still some missing books. If they are not sent then Lyndsey will order them again and use scholastic dollars to pay for them. There is still about $1100 dollars left over. The spring book sales will receive a 5% profit in in scholastic dollars when all the totals are final.

Teacher Appreciation
The week went well for the teachers. With the cost of everything we came in under budget. Ski’s provided pizza one day. Texas Roadhouse provided potato bar for the teachers. Had a great turn out for donation raffles.

Spirit Wear
Water bottles all went out. Everyone was happy with them.

Yearbook
The yearbooks are in and ready to pass out. They will go out next week. The school meet quota and had a few extra.

New Business

Mary Curie Scholarship Selection
There was 10 application turned in. The teachers read through them and have voted on who they feel the award should go to. The award will go to the recipient on May 24th at the award ceremony. Lori Stover will be there to award the recipient at senior night.

2018-2019 Meeting Dates
Meeting will be the second Monday of each month. There is no meeting in December.

9/10/18. 10/8/18, 11/12/18, 1/14/19, 2/11/19, 3/11/19, 4/8/19, 5/13/19

First Day Celebration/Culver’s Fundraiser
First day celebration fundraiser is at Culver’s on August 15th. It will be from 5 to 8. We will need children to help with serving and parents to help watch over the children. It is a great opportunity for the children to help support their school.

Wildcat Welcome Night
Welcome night will be Sept 10th from 6:30 to 7. There will be an ice cream social for the children and parents. The parents will be invited to the WSO meeting after the tour. The meeting will be held at 7 Sept 10th. The K-Kids will help with the tours.

Principal’s Report

Teachers express thank you for the book fair. They also thank everyone for Teacher Appreciation week.

Mapp testing is done.

There is still a lot of field trips left for this week.

Field day will be Monday May 21st. Tug-a-war will be in the morning from 10:30 to 11. Parents could go and watch if they would like. Lunch will be 11 to 11:30 for K-2nd grade. Lunch will be 11:30 to 12 for 3rd to 5th grade. The children will be in their teams for activities. The 5th graders will lead their teams. There is a lot of volunteers for the day. The rain day is May 22nd.
